The Cruise
After our boat trip and picking up our luggage stored at the motel in bustling downtown Seward, we head for our home for the next week, the Volendam.
For many many years I've wondered what a cruise ship is like, always plying people with geeky questions about the environment. Now finally here was my chance to experience it, and I was savoring it. Aside from seeing more of Alaska and enjoying the activities on the cruise and the company of good friends, I was interested in the ship itself, doing much exploring. Unfortunately, of course we weren't allowed in non-public spaces and there were only two "behind the scenes" tours.
Below is the map of our cruise, starting Friday evening and ending Friday morning in Vancouver, and the ship's log is below that.
